Kevin is 3 years old!

We can't believe it but Kevin is 3 years old! We had his birthday party on Wednesday. The theme was "It's a Party Under the Sea, Because Kevin's Turning Three!" because Kevin LOVES fish!

We made a fish-shaped cake (Mommy baked and frosted and Daddy decorated) surrounded by blue cupcakes.

Alan Eats!

Today, Alan had his first encounter with solid food. Rice cereal, yum! He's been eying the contents of the dinner table for a while, so it wasn't a surprise when he eagerly took his first spoonful. Here we have his expression after that first bite.





He was a pretty enthusiastic eater. If Mommy wasn't offering the next spoonful fast enough, Alan was sucking on Daddy's arm. Poor Daddy!

Ahhhh, the boys kick back with Daddy. It's a lazy Saturday evening and we're hanging out after a spending the afternoon at the park.

Today, Kevin's playgroup visited a fire station. Here he is taking a break from exploring on a classic old truck.

Happy Mother's Day!

This weekend, the boys and Mommy drove out to Houston to join Daddy, who was there over the weekend on a layover. We spent Mother's Day at Katy Mills - an outlet mall. Mommy wanted to go shopping but Daddy ended up doing just as much shopping as she did!

After the business of shopping, we all went to the playground across from Starbucks. Kevin had a great time and ran around like a little madman.


First he went on the slide through the tree.


Then he went crawling through the Suzuki Stadium.




Then he checked out the SUV set up as a slide.


Here are the boys and Mommy after Kevin was finished playing. Look at the sweaty boy! We then went to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner.


Kevin loved all the "animals", "trees" and the "starry sky" and "thunderstorm". Here he is at the waterfall.

FW: Look what Alan can do!

So why does this blog post begin with "Forward"? Because this is a copy of the message that Daddy sent to Mommy's cell phone while she was out playing Bunco with friends on Friday night. Everyone was asking for the latest pictures of the boys, so she reached for her phone, and found out that Daddy had sent a REALLY recent picture! There was much "ooh"ing and "ahh"ing, as well as quite a few "He's growing so fast!" *sniff sniff*
