Stupid Daddy Tricks

Christmas Eve at SeaWorld

In the middle of a week of almost freezing cold weather, we took advantage of a beautiful, warm, clear day to make one more trip to SeaWorld before the end of the year.

We checked out the Penguin Encounter and had a family picture taken.



At Shamu's Happy Harbor, Kevin and Daddy went climbing on the net maze while Alan and Mommy went to the foam pit.





Alan, new to walking, was a little apprehensive at first. He kept pretty close to Mommy, but when Daddy and Kevin joined them, he decided he wanted to go keep up with his big brother.





For a novice walker, Alan did pretty good!



We finished off the day at the Coral Reef Aquarium.

What a big help!

Kevin is fascinated with the new washer, so much that he's helping Mommy empty the dryer!

Moving up

Alan pulls up on to his knees! Good news, he's pulling up. Bad news, he's doing it at the fireplace. Good thing it isn't used very often!



After checking out the fireplace, Alan decided to take a tour down the hallway.

Smiles and Joy

This blog has always been about sharing the minutiae of Kevin and Alan's day-to-day life with Daddy while he's travelling and with our out-of-town-friends and family. I've never been one to share my thoughts on parenting, childhood or my experience as a stay-at-home Mom.

Recently, though, I found the following video on our favourite daddy blog. It made me smile, it made me happy, and it made me laugh. In short, all the things that our two beautiful boys do. We share a lot of pictures of how they look and videos of what they do. This video, I hope, will give you an idea of how they make us feel.

Kevin Explores the Backyard

December 30, 2006 - Kevin explored the backyard for the first time. He criss-crossed the patio, going through the same puddle 7 times out of 10. And there's Axel!

The next day, he was all over the yard again. This time, he took a header into a rosemary bush and came up all sniffy!

Another trip to SeaWorld

SeaWorld was open for the week after Christmas, so we went for one more trip to see the fishies!

Kevin Discovers Automatic Doors

While Mommy was dropping of stuff at Elf Louise, Kevin discovers the miracle of automatic doors and makes a break for the great outdoors. The third time was the charm, as Mommy let Kevin walk all the way to the end of the parking lot.

Kevin Walks

October 29, 2006 - After a month of tentative steps and lurching from one piece of furniture to the next, Kevin tried walking in open space for 4 to 5 feet a few times this week. Today, he exploded into a walking machine! Hurray!
