Merry Christmas! Take 1

Unfortunately, Daddy has to work this Christmas. We will celebrate Alan's first Christmas together on Saturday. Today, Mommy and the boys were invited to celebrate with Kevin's friend Jazmine and her family.

Visiting Santa

This is the third year we've gone to the hospital's AirLife Santa day to take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Of course, this is the first time Alan has seen Santa, but for Kevin it was like seeing an old buddy. At least this time, he was looking at the camera instead of staring at Old St. Nick!

Our New Family Photo

Alan has been home for a whole week now! You've seen our "before" family photo. Now here's one for "after".

Alan's Present

"Daddy, what's this?"

Alan's present to Kevin was a pair of chairs. Just wait until he grows big enough to sit in them with his big brother!

Alan Peter arrived today! Nov 7, 2007, 0944 hours. Weight 6 lbs 11 oz, Length 19 in. Mommy and munchkin are doing well at the hospital. Stay tuned!

Less than a week to go!

 

It's less than a week to go until Kevin becomes a big brother! So, today we change the name of the blog from "Kev-ster" to "Our Boys in SA". Here we have one last "before" family photo before "Four's in!".

Pumpkin Patch!

Mommy, Daddy and Kevin went to the pumpkin patch today! We had a great time looking around and Kevin and Mommy cuddled on a hay bale while Daddy did a detailed inspection of the pumpkins.

It's Almost Time!

It's almost time for Kevin to be a big brother! Daddy and Kevin having dinner after touring the hospital with Mommy. :-)

Off on an adventure!

Kevin has just got a new backpack, which he wore to buddy Ryder's place. Ryder's mommy commented that Kevin looked ready to scale a mountain. The boys sure look like they're about to take off on a grand adventure!

Where's Kevin? He's discovered Mommy's cloudy fleece blanket and loves hiding under it. There he is!

While visiting Gung Gung and Po Po (Grandpa and Grandma Chow) in Vancouver, we received a double stroller for Kevin's future life as a big brother. Kevin looks on while Uncle Peter hoses it off. Woohoo! Water everywhere!

Mac & Cheese!

Kevin makes a mess eating mac & cheese.

Food!

Kevin has been feeding himself for almost a week now. Finally hurray! We started with grapes, added in Pirate Booty, then moved on to cheese cubes, whole olives and little cream cheese sandwich bites. Yum! Kevin washes it down with some milk.

There's a thunder storm rolling through town, and Kevin is grinning at the squeaky windshield wipers.

It's summer time and today our playgroup went to the pool. Kevin had a great time splashing in the baby pool. After a snack, we all went into the big pool to float around. After such a busy morning, Kevin had a nice long nap!

Kevin is 2 years old!

Today was Kevin's 2nd birthday, and we celebrated with a birthday party! We had the party during Kevin's regular playgroup, inviting a few extra friends. It was a beautiful morning, and Daddy had just put up the swing set, so we spent a lot of time playing outside. Everyone loved when the bubble machine started churning them out!

Everyone chased the bubbles around the corner!




Kevin loved the multitude of bubbles.



Even Axel ventured out from hiding (all those little people!!) to appreciate the bubbles.

After the bubbles, it was time for birthday cake!



Everyone sang "Happy Birthday" while Kevin looked on. The theme of the party was a Rubby Ducky Luau, hence the rubber ducky balloon!



Mmmmm, birthday cake. Kevin dipped a finger in the icing and had some cake before getting his lunch. Yum!



After cake, Kevin and some of his friends played in the sand and water table. Kevin's buddy CJ showed him how to steer a boat through the sandy water.



At the end of the party, Kevin was completely soaked and dirty! Daddy hosed him off outside and bundled him into a towel to go upstairs for a fresh outfit.



After an attempted (but ultimately unsuccessful) nap, Kevin played with the rest of his birthday balloons. Happy Birthday Kevin!
